Here’s to a bright and successful 2023 for all of us!
As we say goodbye to 2022 and look ahead to the new year, I felt its important to say “THANKYOU” to everyone who has been with me through the period of thick & thin past year. Its your thumbs up that keeps me going. As I pondered on ideas of how? the thought of sharing knowledge came by.
Therefore, in this article I am asking you to invest in two actions. Believe me you will thoroughly enjoy.
1. Watch — Dead poets society, here is why
The Universe is always different than what we see!
Perception is a powerful force that shapes our understanding of the world around us. It’s the way we interpret and make sense of the stimuli that we encounter every day, and it can have a huge impact on how we feel, think, and behave.
The movie Dead Poets Society, starring Robin Williams as the unconventional English teacher John Keating, explores the idea of perception in a number of ways. Keating encourages his students to look at the world through a different lens, to see things in a new way and to question the status quo. He encourages them to “seize the day” and to make their lives extraordinary.

One of the most memorable scenes in the movie is when Keating takes his class to the school’s courtyard and asks them to stand on their desks. From this new perspective, they can see the world in a different way. Keating asks them to look at the room and ask themselves what they see. At first, they see nothing more than desks and chairs, but as they continue to look, they begin to see the world in a different light. They see the potential for greatness, for adventure, for change.
This scene is a powerful reminder of the impact that perception can have on our lives. When we see the world in a new way, we open ourselves up to new possibilities and new ways of thinking. We become more open-minded and more receptive to new ideas and experiences.
So, what can we learn from this about the power of perception? Here are a few key takeaways:
- Perception shapes our reality: The way we see the world shapes our reality. If we see the world as a place full of opportunity, we are more likely to pursue our goals and make the most of our lives. If we see the world as a place full of obstacles, we may be more likely to give up and miss out on the potential for greatness.
- Perception can be changed: Our perception is not set in stone. We can choose to see the world in a different way, and this can have a big impact on our lives.
- It’s important to be open-minded: It’s easy to get stuck in our own perspective, but it’s important to stay open-minded and be willing to see things in a new way. This can help us grow and learn, and it can also help us connect with others who may see things differently.
In conclusion, perception is a powerful force that shapes our understanding of the world around us. By being open-minded and willing to see things in a new way, we can open ourselves up to new possibilities and make the most of our lives. Just like John Keating encouraged his students to do in Dead Poets Society, let’s seize the day and make our lives extraordinary.
2. Read — 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, here is why
What you do has greater impact than what you say.
Behaviour “above the line” and “below the line” are terms that refer to different ways of approaching and responding to situations. These terms were developed by the psychologist Stephen Covey as part of his “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” model.

Behaviour above the line refers to a proactive, solution-focused approach to problems and challenges. When we behave above the line, we take responsibility for our actions and the outcomes of those actions. We focus on what we can do to solve problems and make positive changes, rather than reacting to situations in a negative or passive way.
Examples of behavior above the line include:
- Taking initiative to identify and solve problems
- Seeking feedback and learning from mistakes
- Seeking out opportunities for growth and development
- Maintaining a positive attitude and focusing on solutions
Behavior below the line, on the other hand, refers to a reactive, victim-focused approach to problems and challenges. When we behave below the line, we blame others or external circumstances for our problems, rather than taking responsibility for our actions and outcomes. We may also become negative, pessimistic, or defensive in response to challenges.
Examples of behavior below the line include:
- Blaming others or external circumstances for problems
- Complaining or making excuses
- Avoiding responsibility or accountability
- Being negative or pessimistic
While it’s natural to sometimes behave below the line in response to challenges, it’s important to try to shift our focus to a more proactive, above-the-line approach whenever possible. This can help us take control of our lives and move forward in a positive way. By focusing on solutions and taking responsibility for our actions, we can become more resilient and better able to navigate the challenges that come our way.
I hope you are inspired enough to start your 2023 with a massive boost, wish you all the best for an awesome 2023.
