Don’t be the good guy!

Hello Lovely people,

This is the story of how the lift fucked me for being a good guy.

Let’s go straight to the incident and then if you are still interested, you may go through the Gyan.

Fifi & I walked back to our society, pressed the lift button and it was right there, the door opened. We stepped inside the lift only to see that the lower ground floor buttons were lit. It was about 10ish on the watch, people were returning from the veggie shop and the “good guy” within me said — “hey the lift is going down let them board it first, and maybe I could take it next.”

You must be wondering don't we have another lift, well we do but the garbage collector occupies it for a good 1 to 1 n half hours, and then it stinks till it gets cleaned which takes another 10/15 mins.

While I thought good about others, the lift had its own thoughts, we stepped out, the doors closed in a very mysterious way and somehow I felt the lift was smerking at me. My curious self looks at the indicator and the arrow went UP, Up up uppppp! What the fish I exclaimed.

Never mind, it will come down and then I see a dude walking in the lobby with his little daughter. She wants to play with Fifi but the man is too scared. Well again the good guy within me said — “Let them use the lift next, I will take after them”

Like this, the lift always smirked at me & did 3 — 4 trips. Where I wasted my time sitting in the lobby. Suddenly the testosterone kicked in and slapped my face. We got up and stood in front of the lift and said — “fuck the good guy, he will never reach home being a good samaritan” rest is history and now I am drafting this for everyone to read.

This Incident has made my belief even stronger that we can’t be good all the time and believe everyone will be the same as us. This story is very relatable to our life & Career. Opportunities come by every day and unless we take it by the horns and be a little selfish, we would only end up congratulating others.

So, my advice be a little selfish up your testosterone game and WIN!
